Abstract

The William Green Farmhouse stands three miles north of Trenton on the campus of The College of New Jersey in Ewing, New Jersey. Built around 1720, the colonial house has a well-documented history and provided a billet for Washington's light cavalry during campaigns in New Jersey. The first archaeological excavations at the house were conducted from 1989 to 1995. However, the excavation methods and assemblages were never published and much of the data and part of the assemblage have been lost.
